Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!
No-kill shelters do wonderful work, but as a result, are often inundated with pet surrenders. In the unfortunate scenario that you have to find a new home for your pet, please read through the rehoming solution and articles on this page before contacting the shelter.

Although our facility is large, there is still not always enough room for all of the animals we would like to care for. Volunteers help by temporarily opening their homes to animals in need.

My cat is missing. We live in Highland Hills in Graniteville. She is a Calico. Her face is split down the middle, half black/half orange tabby. She has a white main, and the rest of her is black and orange with stripe. We really miss her and want her back. If you see her please contact me. (949) 933-9311.
Hello,
Do you have a thrift store? If, so, I have many items to donate. If not, could you direct me in the way of a closer store heading toward the Walterboro direction or so?
Many thanks,
