Woof! Meow! One thing before you go…
Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?
Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

Welcome to Paws Animal Shelter, Champaign County Humane Association, Urbana, Ohio. We are a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We re kind of famous around these parts because we are crazy about cats! We are a no-kill pet shelter, operating entirely on charitable donations which NEVER gives up on the animals in our care. We WILL find each and every one of them a loving permanent home. And we would love for you to be a part of that equation! We sure do hope you will find your furever friend here at Paws Animal Shelter. We currently have many awesome animals just waiting for someone to adopt them. In order for our available kitties to reach the widest possible audience, we post photos and bios of them on Petfinder each week.
