Woof! Meow! One thing before you go…

Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?

Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

Welcome to the North Sheffield branch of Cats Protection. Our branch was established in 1988 and is run completely by dedicated volunteers who give their free time to help, several of the founder members are still active today. We always welcome new volunteers, no matter how little time you have. Our dedicated supporters foster cats, raise funds and generally keep the branch going, enabling us to take unwanted cats and kittens into care year in year out.

We believe that there is a loving home out there somewhere for every cat, we try to ensure that every cat is given the chance of a life where it will be treated with kindness and understanding, and we never put a cat, kitten, elderly or ill cat to sleep except on clear veterinary advice.
