Woof! Meow! One thing before you go…
Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?
Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

Founded in 2016, by Rhiannon Resor, Saved Souls Dog Rescue, Inc. focuses on saving dogs and puppies (mostly medium-large breed) from high kill shelters in southern Ohio and surrounding states. We are 100% foster-based and have many foster families throughout northeast Ohio -from Eastlake all the way to Ashtabula. Our “home base” is in Perry, OH. We are a non-profit, tax exempt (501c3) rescue.
Growing up, Rhiannon was always drawn to animals. She loved helping them! After volunteering for many rescues and shelters, she decided she wanted to pursue her dream of owning and operating her own rescue. She plans to continue to rescue, rehab and rehome dogs and puppies for years to come.
