Pet Tails Rescue
Woof! Meow! One thing before you go…
Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?
Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

Pet Tails Rescue was founded by Maureen Cahill in March 2012. The primary business and Broker office, as well as the Shelter facility (licensed in early 2017), is located in Northwood, NH. The facility is utilized for quarantine, training and adoptions. The Rescue is completely operated and supported by a group of dedicated volunteers committed to the rescue and placement of homeless dogs and cats. Pet Tails Rescue utilizes a network of foster families to pull animals from a shelter, organize veterinary care, provide temporary placement in a home environment, secure transportation to NH, and provide quarantine and foster care once again upon arrival, all the while working to find a permanent adoptive family.
