Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!
No-kill shelters do wonderful work, but as a result, are often inundated with pet surrenders. In the unfortunate scenario that you have to find a new home for your pet, please read through the rehoming solution and articles on this page before contacting the shelter.

Have three 5-wk old, weaned, litter box trained& very sweet kittenswho need immediate home! This county puts them down (Arkansas). Responsible, caring owners only.
This isn't really a comment as much as a request for help. We have a 10-cat feral colony at our home. All kids are from the same prolific mother. We want to get them trapped/fixed and returned to our care. We've become very attached to them and would like to keep them. We can pay to get them fixed, assuming it's through a TNS clinic and will make a $300 donation beyond that. Our problem is trapping them. We're trying to find someone to do that.
Any help/advice would be appreciated.
