Woof! Meow! One thing before you go…
Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?
Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

Pet Patrol is an entirely volunteer-run, non-profit organization in the Kitchener – Waterloo area. We began in 1996 in recognition of the overpopulation problem of felines in our community. We give cats a second chance and an opportunity for a full life as we are NO KILL. Pet Patrol helps cats that have been abandoned, ill or homeless, to find new homes. We are a registered charity and rely solely on donations to cover our extensive veterinary costs, which are over $60,000 per year. We receive no assistance from our municipality or government. Pet Patrol does not believe an animal should be euthanized if they are unwanted or ill and can regain their health. We do everything in our capacity to make sure that all opportunities for the cat are met. We not only rely on conventional veterinary care, but also chiropractic care, homeopathy, acupuncture, Chinese medicine, specialized dentistry and allergy testing.
