Woof! Meow! One thing before you go…
Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?
Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

Bay Area Greyhound Adoptions is a non-profit, charitable organization, incorporated in the State of Florida in July 2004. Our mission is to find loving homes for greyhounds as pets after their racing days are over. We are staffed entirely by volunteers who love the greyhounds and are dedicated to helping them find great homes as pets after their racing days are over. We are not animal activists and do not become involved in issues regarding the gaming industry. Our purpose is to promote greyhounds as pets and to find loving homes for the greyhounds in our care. We are recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3) charity and any donations provided to us are fully tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
