The Animal Hostel Trust is an independent charity, originally founded for the benefit of the local animals (mainly cats) in Haringey and Enfield, North London, in 1990. We now operate from a small farm in Scarborough, and we rescue, work with and rehome horses. The Animal Hostel Trust is in receipt of no grants or subsidies, but is funded entirely by the generosity of the animal-loving public. We couldn't keep doing this work without your help...

Almost uniquely, the Animal Hostel Trust has a strict policy that we will never put a healthy animal to sleep. We sometimes find incurable conditions, but if the animal is not suffering, we will try to find a suitable home where they can live out their days safely. Of course this policy comes at a high cost in terms of both time and money. Fortunately there are some wonderful people out there who have helped us over the years. And we are constantly on the lookout for more!
