Woof! Meow! One thing before you go…

Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?

Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

The Branch was founded in 1992 with a membership of around 12 people, but this has grown steadily and we now have more than 200 members. Our motto is "Caring for Cats".

Our activities include:

* rehoming around 200 cats a year; * running a trap, neuter and release service for feral cats; * promoting neutering; * running a lost and found service for cats in our area; * offering support and advice to people with cat-related problems.

Our Philosophy Cats Protection never euthanises an animal, except on medical grounds based on a veterinary opinion.
