Woof! Meow! One thing before you go…
Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?
Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

Adoptable Pets in Wyoming
(report broken link)
Founded in 2004, the AAC is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization located in downtown Jackson Hole, just steps from the historic Town Square. Our highly visible location promotes excellent community interaction with our animals and programs. Visitors are greeted by our happy, tail-wagging dogs and friendly purring cats. Since its inception, the AAC has rescued thousands of animals and placed them in loving forever homes. We strive to shatter the many negative stereotypes about abandoned animals. By encouraging people to adopt instead of buying a pet, and educating the public about the importance of spaying and neutering, we can put an end to the unnecessary killing of adoptable animals and realize a future where there are no more homeless pets.
