Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!
No-kill shelters do wonderful work, but as a result, are often inundated with pet surrenders. In the unfortunate scenario that you have to find a new home for your pet, please read through the rehoming solution and articles on this page before contacting the shelter.
IMPORTANT: This form is only for public comments about the shelter. To contact Furry Friends (Vancouver), please go directly to their website (link on previous page), this form will not send your comment to them.

My Abby (cat) has been missing since around 9/1. She is a black, orange, and white Calico. Skinny. Chirps like a bird. She has a bent tipped tail you can feel when you run your fingers down her tail. She is microchipped with an outdated number affiliated to Hawaii (808). She had a little growth on the corner of her left eye. Please help me find my baby.
I'm wondering how to find someone to rescue four homeless cats in my neighborhood? I have just recently moved here and began feeding one, only to discover there are three others. I can't take any in my home as I have severe asthma and have failed at other attempts to be a cat owner, usually by ending up in the hospital. But I can't stand the idea of these poor babies being out in the cold when winter arrives. I can't afford to feed all of them so I've been mostly feeding the one I think is the youngest. I am in Richland, WA. I am afraid to call the Humane Society because I'm afraid they will kill them. Please Help.
