Woof! Meow! One thing before you go…
Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?
Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?
No-kill shelters do wonderful work, but as a result, are often inundated with pet surrenders. In the unfortunate scenario that you have to find a new home for your pet, please read through the rehoming solution and articles on this page before contacting the shelter.

The pets at Forget Me Not have wonderful shelters, lots of indoor and open air play space, and get great medical care. I can't say enough about the great staff and volunteers at this shelter.

One of the programs at the shelter allows cat owners to give their pregnant cats to the shelter where they raise the kittens to an appropriate adoption age before allowing the mama's owner to take their cat back for a nominal fee.

The price of adoption is very reasonable and all the animals are spayed or neutered and have their initial shots.

This is an amazing shelter with wonderful facilities for their temporary friends and a caring staff and volunteers committed to finding permanent homes for all. My two cats, Reggie and Ginger, came from this facility. Because of their remote location they provide a pet delivery service to anyplace in the state. All their critter friends get great medical care and they run several animal-friendly programs aimed at reducing feral cats.
