Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?
Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

Nebraska No Kill Canine Rescue (NNKCR) is a new organization that was formed to address the rescue needs for all breeds of dogs in Gage and Lancaster Counties. Nebraska No Kill Canine Rescue is a 501(c)(3) Not-For-Profit dog rescue group. Five people who had a dream that one day all adoptable dogs in Lancaster and Gage Counties would find loving homes formed NNKCR.
To accomplish this goal we do three things:
Rescue Dogs
Rehabilitate Dogs
Re-home Dogs
We provide emergency foster care for homeless dogs, veterinary care for dogs in our care and find forever homes for homeless dogs.
