The Above the Notch Humane Society was established due to an ever-increasing need for an animal shelter for Littleton and the immediately surrounding area. We have gained non-profit corporation status in the state of New Hampshire, gained tax-exempt status with the Internal Revenue Service (501 (c)3 status), and run our own shelter.
