Woof! Meow! One thing before you go…
Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?
Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

The Wootton Bassett and District Branch of Cats Protection was formed in 1998. Our Branch is run entirely by volunteers; we actively promote all aspects of feline care and offer part cost/full cost neutering, we rescue, foster and re-home as many cats and kittens as our resources will allow! Our Branch is of course limited in resources in both personnel and finances and we rely on our own fund-raising and donations from the public, otherwise we would be unable to do our work!
We are a relatively small branch but cover most of Wiltshire! We have a team of 11 fosterers and approximately 25 active volunteers. As a team we rescue, neuter, foster, rehabilitate and re-home on average about 220 cats and kittens each year. We help a lot more, be they ferals or domestic cats where the owner needs assistance of some kind.
