Camberley & District Cats Protection
Woof! Meow! One thing before you go…
Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?
Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

Cats Protection is a National Feline Rescue and Welfare Charity, taking in lost and unwanted cats, and finding new homes for them. We also encourage neutering and advise on general feline welfare problems. The Camberley and District Branch covers the following areas: Camberley, Frimley, Farnborough, Fleet, Church Crookham, Bagshot, Yateley, Blackwater, Hook, Ascot, Sunningdale, Lightwater, Sandhurst, Windlesham, Virginia Water and Eversley. We try to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome cats that need help. This involves identifying strays, collecting them, which sometimes involves sitting outside for hours at a time.
Sometime it takes up to 2-3 weeks trying to get a nervous stray used to being fed in a trap. Once this is done we can then bring them into care. All our stray cats are then scanned for a microchip, given a full health check from the vet and neutered if needed. From there the cat will then go to a foster home which means they will be living in a "home" environment when you go and see them. The only exception to this is if we bring in an unneutered male. He will then go into an outside pen, to prevent him spraying and smelling in the foster carers home!
