Woof! Meow! One thing before you go…

Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?

Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

Our branch, Framlingham and Saxmundham, was formed in 1989 by a group of concerned people who were alarmed by the increasing numbers of abandoned and unwanted cats and kittens in the area. Since our formation we have gone from strength to strength and on average home between 200 and 300 cats and kittens each year. Sadly, the problem of unwanted cats and kittens has not decreased despite neutering campaigns.

All the work is voluntary and has to be fitted in with business and private lives. It is extremely difficult to get this fact over to the general public.
