Woof! Meow! One thing before you go…

Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?

Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

We take in and care for all manner of unwanted, abandoned and abused animals locally and keep them until a loving, caring permanent home can be found for them. We believe that the right home home is waiting out there for every animal we take in. Please note we have A NON DESTRUCTION POLICY in place unless by virtue of an animals unsound and aggressive temperment, or on advice from the Veterinary surgeon on humane grounds in order to prevent further suffering.

Free cat neutering is offered at the moment to all persons who are on state benefit and who live within our Branch boundary. Low cost micro-chipping for pets is available to everyone at a cost of £10. This must be booked on the day and where necessary can be done at your own home.
