Teckels Animal Sanctuaries (Gloucester)

Teckels is a charitable animal welfare centre, which was established in 2003 after the Gloucester based rescue kennels and cattery merged with another long established animal rescue centre based in Swindon. The people from Swindon Animal Sanctuary campaigned hard and collected for many years for animal rescue, but the amounts of monies raised were never enough for them to establish a centre of their own and so it was decided that they would merge with Teckels and use the funds to support an active animal rescue centre, who were in desperate need of funding, as close to Swindon as they could. These funds have helped enable Teckels to rescue and re-home thousands of animals during the past five years from both the Gloucestershire and the Swindon area.

As long as we have the room, we will always take in any cats or dogs looking for a home. We do not discriminate against old or sick animals and we have a non-destruction policy, hence we have animals that can end up staying for quite a long time whilst waiting for the right home.
