Woof! Meow! One thing before you go…
Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?
Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

Clarks Farm Greyhound Rescue is a registered charity in its own right and is also the Maldon and Tiptree branch of the Retired Greyhound Trust. Working alongside the RGT and the Friends of Crayford Retired Greyhounds, we take in ex racing/retired greyhounds and find permanent loving homes for them.
Sandra & Steve Cobb bought Clarks farm in 1999, it was a derelict and run down property with a tumble down barn and an old cow shed as its only buildings. Steve was known to sleep in an old chicken shed during the early days. Their intention from day one was to open a greyhound rescue, but it took several years with planning battles before things could really start in 2003. Since then, Clarks Farm greyhound Rescue has come on leaps and bounds, from homing 20 dogs in 2003 to over 260 in 2006 and then to homing over 350 in 2009.
