Woof! Meow! One thing before you go…
Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?
Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

WHAT WE DO:
We rescue, rehabilitate, and place in adoptive homes mainly Catahoula and Catahoula mixes, but we also accept select mixed breeds if opportunity and resources allow. We offer vital necessary education, support, behavioral advise and guidance; sharing with the public, years of experience and expertise, striving to be the voice for the voiceless, the help for the helpless, giving homeless dogs another chance for safety and happiness they deserve. Our mission is one of service.
ACTUAL ACTIVITIES:
Our organization will fund-raise, pull dogs from shelters, vet them, and place them in foster care, which aids in relieving shelters of overload. We contact shelters, set vet appointments, make transport arrangements, screen fosters, adopters, and do home visits, prior to placing dogs in forever homes. We strive to set up educational events at business locations when invited to do so. We utilize internet avenues to procure more foster homes and volunteers, and to present adoptable dogs to the public. We also provide: advice via phone for rehab/training issues; tips on practical day to day dog care; breed information; nutritional advice; and safety information.
