***The first step in the adoption process is to complete the application at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org*** Sweet little Mary Ann was born summer of 2021 and lived in a foster home until she was old enough to join the kitties at the shelter. Her transition was a slow one and she wasn't sure about all the strangers and everything going on but to know her silly self now you wouldn't ever guess! She has taken over the job of 'helping' with litter box scooping and her favorite thing to do is to be flipped over for a tummy rub. Mary Ann gets along great with the other cats in her room and is always playing with someone or something even if she can't find a toy a piece of fuzz can entertain her all morning long. She is often seen hanging out with her equally silly sister Ginger. The two love to run on the cat wheel together and make quite the pair! Even though the two girls had been separated for awhile, it took no time at all for them to remember one another and become fast friends once again. Mary Ann is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. As always our cat and kitten adoption fee is free will to approved applicants.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Mary Anne was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Mary Anne’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Mary Anne’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Mary Anne’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
