Thank you for all the tips and shares everyone. Mittens found his way home. Despite getting out into the back, my daughter found him out front this evening when she went to grab something from her car. He looks like he has lost a little weight, but other than that is no worse for the wear. We will call the vet for a checkup in the morning.
