Lost Dog in Oklahoma City, OK, 73131 Male, Last Seen: 26 October 2022

Our sweet Benny was on one of his “runs” which Great Pyrenees are notorious for, he always returns home back to the farm.

He was picked up and taken all the way to Oklahoma City (an hour away) and escaped the home.

Great Pyrenees do not like to be in confined spaces.

They are not house dogs or town dogs.

So he bolted out of their home when they tried to keep him indoors and is now lost and is so far away from his home he don’t know how to get back.

I will be checking in with the local shelters and PRAY he doesn’t get hit by a car trying to find his way home in the city.

If you see livestock Guardian dogs “roaming” in the county please do not entice them with food or try and load them in your vehicle.

It is in their genetics to roam the perimeter of what they are protecting and that can mean up to a couple miles.

They will return home.

Now he is lost and can’t find his way back.

If anyone sees him or knows anything please contact us ASAP

If we get him back we will be putting a collar on him. We never thought to do so before because we live very rural and there are maybe 10 houses within a 5 mile radius, all of which knows who’s dogs belongs to who so no one bothers with them and let’s them do their thing.
