Lost Dog in Columbus, OH, 43230 Female, Last Seen: 27 September 2023

**$1000 REWARD Shw is silver/whitw wirh hazel eyes, poxket bully. Last seen wearing a bright pink tactical collar with a handle! Spayed and microchipped!! Shorty was picked up 09/27 by a gentleman that brought her to Animal Medical Center in Gahanna, who not only turned him away immediately, but did NOT SCAN for a microchip. Was confirmed by the animal hospitals manager, worker, and camera footage that he was in their building for about 1 minute. Where he asked if he could drop Shorty off and rather than get help, scan a microchip, or get ANY sort of contact information, they immediately told him they cannot help and sent him to Franklin County Dog Shelter and Adoption Center. The gentleman proceeded to go to a few places and ended his time with Shorty at Franklin County around 5/6 pm where he was immediately turned away and told they cannot help them as they 'were at capacity'. They NEVER SCANNED HER FOR A CHIP, they DID NOT get any contact information. A couple who was in the lobby of the animal shelter (a bi racial couple, possibly in their 30s driving a brown/gold pick up truck) told him they would take shorty and he promptly handed her off. No paperwork was signed, no chip checked, no information passed between these people and Franklin County. They just watched her get verbally adopted out. There should have been a 72 hour hold on her, there should have been proper care taken to ensure they found her family before watching her be handed off to a new one. She was missing and gone in a few hours! PLEASE see the Facebook hashing #HELPFINDSHORTY for more information!!
