Found Cat in Supply, NC, 28462 Female, Last Seen: 06 January 2022

This little lady was rescued by us after being chased up a tree by our two rescue pit-mix dogs. Our dogs have never been exposed to cats. My husband approached her and she immediately came down the tree to him. We then hurried her to a safe place in our home. We have had her for nearly 4 weeks and feel our home is just not safe with our dogs present. It only takes one door to open one time for tragic events to occur. The dogs have seen her through the window and growled, barked and attacked the window. She is very people friendly and loving, uses a litter box without fail, she appears to be between 4-5 months. We plan to have her spayed immediately and started on all her shots since we have no medical history. She is an INDOOR cat. Currently, she has a space in a bathroom off our garage (with a space heater) and is allowed out to run and play when we are home. Her favorite toy is a rubber fish tied to the end of a long string that we control. She jumps and chases it with great enthusiasm. Regardless, it is just not safe. I grew up in a home where we were allowed to bring home any type of stray. My mother, Pat Sandifer, ran her own personal feral cat spay and neuter campaign before she passed away. We need to find this sweet girl her home, a home or we will have to turn her into a shelter. I have always adopted animals from shelters, never surrendered one. It breaks my heart. Please help.
