The story of "Marvin" in North Carolina

This morning, thanks to my uncle, I managed to get my hands on a trap to set out for Marvin. Everything was all set and ready to go with the help of my father and mother to watch over as i had a shift to work today from 12-8. an agonizing and long shift it was. the first two captures ended up being the strays that linger around my neighbors. no sign of Marvin as my shift came to a end. once i made it home for the evening i pulled the trail cam to check the photos and sure enough sneaky Marvin was around. he circled the trap twice and started to step in before changing his mind. He sensed something was off about his food placement and wandered away. Not 30 min has passed between him wandering off to me arriving home and grabbing the trail cam to pull the SD card... I go to put the SD card back, feeling helpless and defeated and started to cry.. After a few minutes i decided i would grab a better flashlight and walk around again talking to him as if he were right in from of me, Telling him hes a smart and wonderful boy but that i missed him and just wanted him to come inside. As i sauntered behind the garage towards the woods where a junk car is kept i continue to speak to him, and that's when i heard it, yowls. Marvin yowls every time i say his name. Yowls that nearly send me into a panic because i couldn't believe my boy was speaking to me. I slowly follow his wails as i keep talking to him. Scanning my flashlight through the trees as i maneuver through the woods until i finally see him. i immediately sit down on the ground placing my flashlight pointed towards me. I want him to see me and not be blinded by a light. I peer into darkness calling him and telling him everything is okay, i promised him i didn't leave him behind. beckoning him to come to me. His yowls grow louder as he gets closer to me, until his floof of a face breaks from the darkness and into the light. stopping to stair at me with his big green and yellow eyes and yowls one more time before he makes it to my lap. i scoop him in for hugs and break down in to tears. I have my kittie baby back and the relief is instant as i get him inside. he is home, and he is safe. My Missing Marvin is no longer missing
