About this Found Dog

Both dogs are female, very sweet, and appear to have been someone’s pets. They are well behaved, know some commands, and have shown no signs of aggression toward people or my own dog. One dog looks like a schnauzer mix and appears older, weighing about 40 lbs. This dog I have been calling Honey, and she is slightly more calm than the other. She will sit on command, plays fetch, she loves attention and being pet, and will roll over onto her back for belly rubs if she is comfortable with you! The other looks like a schnauzer/lab mix and weighs around 37 lbs. This dog appears younger (maybe 6 months to a year) and has slightly more energy, so I have been calling her Kooky. She is well behaved and will sit on command but may need slightly more reinforcement than Honey. Kooky also chases the ball and plays nicely with other dogs, but needs to work on bringing the ball back! They are very bonded to each other and clearly find comfort in staying together, so I would strongly recommend they not be separated. They both have similar wiry coats and are in good condition overall. Neither dog is microchipped, but their teeth and overall condition suggest they are relatively healthy, however we are unsure about their vaccination history. Both dogs tolerated baths using a hose well. Honey allowed us to remove several ticks, and has been incredibly trusting and gentle throughout this process. They both ride calmly in the car, enjoy chasing balls, are very food motivated, and love snuggling together. It’s clear they have been socialized and cared for by humans at some point. These sweeties deserve a loving and safe home!
