Thank you all so much for your suggestions and words of encouragement. I trapped Meredith overnight in my backyard with a step plate trap baited with Tuna cat food. As she was not my cat, but rather I was supposed to be "cat sitting" her, we are all relieved she eventually came around. She is now back with her owner. I only have the photo of her in my trap from this morning, so I'm posting that here.
