Lost Cat in Rockford, IL, 61101 Female, Last Seen: 07 January 2022

Hello, my friends house was burglarized and ransacked after he was jailed earlier in the day on Jan 7 2022. In the evening at some point his house was broken into and ransacked. During the event his cat went missing and we have had no luck locating her. We are searching all Illinois counties incase she didn't escape during the burglary cause a door was left open and instead fear she might have been stolen or picked up and dropped off in another county were she wouldn't be found out of spite, since we have reason to believe who ever burglarized his house knew what was going on with him and thus knew he would not be home . So instead of just hopping shell come running home we are also reaching out to everyone we can to try and find her. t's a stretch but we're not taking any chances in leaving anything out in our search for her.

Her name is Boots, she is a blue Russian, with grey Tuxedo coloring with white socks. She is about 1-2 years old, maybe 3 at the oldest. She was last seen in the area of Ashland Ave and Oakley Ave, Rockford, Winnebago County, IL, US. As far as we know she was wearing a collar but we aren't sure if he put any contact information on the collar. We're waiting to find out her rabies tag, and if she's been chipped but her owner, Riccardo Gomez, is in jail so he has limited chances to communicate with us, and the fact his house has been ransacked is making it hard to find his animals records. I have already posted her In a few Facebook groups some of the shelters have suggested, as well as registered her as missing on pawboost, petfbi, and nokillnetwork. As well as emailed as many shelters as I could!
