About this Safe Dog
11-year-old Female GSP (German Shorthaired Pointer). She's an inside dog but got away during the storm on Sunday (from Fambrough Bridge Rd and Hwy 15). She's very friendly but will bark (believe me, it's all show). She's skittish (according to the few that have interacted with her since she's been missing). She will respond to her name, and to words like "here", "sit", "stay", "come", "stop". She should be hungry, tired and afraid. She hasn't eaten since breakfast on Sunday. She has been seen at Antioch Christian Church and on Watson Springs Rd., headed towards Jerusalem Rd. We have flyers out on lots of telephone poles, but there are so many farms and tall grass around, she's hard to spot this time of year. She's 55 lbs., mostly brown with white spots, and her collar is neon orange with her tags on it. If you see her, just say "Birdie stop...here, now" firmly and she will probably come right over. You can easily put a leash on her, put her in a car or a crate, but might have to help her get in if it's a higher vehicle. She's very well trained so she will be obedient. She's probably freaking out because she's disoriented/lost. We'll do anything to get her back.
