Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

I have an emergency I took in a stray he's a big hound dog , he might have walker in him but his chest has been cut open from his neck to his stomach . It's about 6 to 7 inches long and about 2 inches or so deep . He needs medical attention bad and I can't afford it can someone in your organization help me . PLease help he is in pain and I've tried to fix him and it isn't working and he won't get up and walk any more he was doing so good and now he's getting worse.. thank you and prayers for my baby buddy ...
