About this Dog
Louie is a sweet, playful, curious puppy with a high-energy streak. He follows his foster family around like a little shadow and wants to be involved in everything they do. One of their favorite things about him is how genuinely happy he looks to see them every morning. He loves to cuddle and be close to his people, and he thrives on companionship. Louie is still working through some separation anxiety and has had a few long nights adjusting to crate training, but his foster family is helping him learn to settle in and feel more secure. He’s fantastic with other dogs and especially loves to wrestle and snuggle with his brother Tudd. His favorite nap spot is often right on top of Tudd, and he loves to follow the older resident dogs around, watching and learning. Louie would do best in a home with another dog—he gains a lot of comfort and confidence from canine companionship and may struggle as a solo pup. Louie is also great with kids, though like many puppies, he can be a bit nippy. Families with small children should be ready to continue gently working with him on this. Potty training is coming along, and Louie’s food motivation is strong! He’s eager to please, but he’s also figured out that pretending to go potty might earn him praise—he’ll walk a few steps away, pause dramatically, then run back with a proud little face. With time and consistency, he’s making progress and learning what’s expected. Louie and his brother Tudd were born on a reservation in South Dakota before coming into our care. They are both now looking for wonderful forever homes. Louie’s estimated birthdate is: 4/30/2025

Adopt Louie and Receive Louie's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Louie's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Louie's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Louie, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Louie's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Louie was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Louie’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Louie’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Louie’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
