About this Dog
Waylon is approximately 2 years old and weighs a wopping 80 pounds! Not only is this big boy a goof-he is very loving. Sometimes overwhelmingly so. When we say that, lets just say he has some hormones of a teenage boy. Which-he is in his teens, and can sometimes be pretty friendly when it comes to meeting new people, and will start to hump your leg. He pretty well responds to our correction, and releases when he is told. He may try again, but then he usually gives up. This boy is pretty food motivated and loves being outside! He has your typical hound bark, and doesn't mind exploring! Walks? Yes! Nap-times? Yes! Usually after his meals, he takes a nap. He is used to sound as when other dogs here are barking, you can usually hear his subtle snores. We are still learning more of his personality, but look at those big, floppy ears, and that smile! If you would like to meet me, please visit our website and complete the pre-adoption application. Once it has been processed then we can make a date to get together! All dogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm tested (if over 2 years old), vaccinated, dewormed, flea and tick treated, microchipped and more before adoption. Our adoption policies include: Application, Vet Reference, Landlord approval & Criminal Background Check. We do not do same day adoptions. We request that you call for an appointment after your application has been approved to come and visit the dog of your choice. If you have a dog currently, you should bring him/her along to meet the new dog so we can see how everyone interacts. Please visit our website for additional information. The online application can be found at :https://hsburnettcty.org/adoption-application/
Contribute to Waylon's Stash!

100% of Waylon's balance will be sent to whoever adopts Waylon.
Adopt Waylon and Receive Waylon's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Waylon's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Waylon's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Waylon, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Waylon's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Waylon was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Waylon’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Waylon’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Waylon’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
