About this Dog
$100 volunteer sponsored. So only a $225 adoption fee for approved applicant. King came to us as a transfer from another rescue, and was Originally from Texas so we don't have much of a back story on him. He is very friendly and really strives for love and affection. He needs some manners, as he likes to jump on you and give you a few smooches.. He loves going on walks. He gets along great with submissive males, and any female dog we've introduced him to, but he can be a bit nosey (pun intended) with the ladies. He does great at the Vets office! He rides nicely in the car, and giving him his first set of vaccines while at our facility, he was a champ! Just give him some treats, and he will sit so nicely for you and let you prod around. He will need time and patience to help acclimate to a new home setting, and he also needs some boundaries established. He is looking for a home where he could be "King" of the castle. He is approximately 3 years old, and is negative for heart worm, and tick diseases. He weighs almost 55 pounds. We think he is a Rot/Shepherd mix, so he has the perfect combo of loyalty, and security! He is one of the most quiet, and mellowed mannered young gentlemen we have here! He is quite the diamond in the rough. Young kids make him a little uneasy and nervous, so older kids 13 plus would make him feel more comfortable. He loves his treats, is 100% potty trained and has never made messes in his kennels. He is a loyal dog, and would make a great couch potato, and velcro dog! *Reasons to adopt a black dog 1) Hair doesn't show up on dark clothes 2) Black is slimming 3) Black is chic and always in fashion 4) They're always ready for a formal occasion 5) They're easy to accessorize If you would like to meet me, please visit our website and complete the pre-adoption application. Once it has been processed then we can make a date to get together! All dogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm tested (if over 2 years old), vaccinated, dewormed, flea and tick treated, microchipped and more before adoption. Our adoption policies include: Application, Vet Reference, Landlord approval & Criminal Background Check. We do not do same day adoptions. We request that you call for an appointment after your application has been approved to come and visit the dog of your choice. If you have a dog currently, you should bring him/her along to meet the new dog so we can see how everyone interacts. Please visit our website for additional information. 100% of King's balance will be sent to whoever adopts King.
Adopt King and Receive King's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, King's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is King's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the King, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming King's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and King was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, King’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the King’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, King’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
