Rainbow is a sweet 2 year old who was found crying in the woods. It was clear that she was used to being around humans, so the man who found her tried to take her in- she unfortunately did not get along with his cat! She has since moved to a community room here and does great with the other cats. She'll need a slow introduction to any dogs as well, as she hasn't reacted positively to those she sees passing by her room. When it comes to humans, she's a doll!! She'd be an excellent candidate for a home with kids who want to dote on her! a huge plus side with Tainbow is she is a neat freak! She is one of the few cats who doesn’t mess up her towels, blankets or bedding. She even keeps her litter box clean and very minimal litter follows her out! All cats are spayed/neutered (deposit required if too young), vaccinated, dewormed, flea and tick treated, microchipped and more before adoption. Our adoption policies include: Application, Vet reference, Landlord approval & Criminal Background Check. HSBC has a policy of not declawing, which is included on our Adoption Contract. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Rainbow was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Rainbow’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Rainbow’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Rainbow’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
