About this Cat
***Carla could use a hero*** Our sweet Carla is the definition of a "shy girl". She has understandably had a hard time adjusting to shelter life after being in a home almost her entire life. She generally picks a cubbie to sleep in or sometimes an open cage bed where our other "shy guys" hang out. Carla takes a little while to warm up but once she does she really appreciates the attention and shows you by rolling and purring while you sit by her. She will sometimes meow at you quietly to remind you she is there. Carla would love a quiet home to enjoy with a quiet person. Give her a warm spot to lay and a little attention when she gently requests and you could make this older girl's world bright and wonderful. Carla seems to photograph with a RBF but I assure you this is not a reflection of her personality. Yes she has been let down by people, but this lady has alot of life and love to give yet if you are willing to give her a little time and patience to trust again. Carla was adopted from us as a kitten (FKA Mercedes), "changed owners" and came back to the shelter as a surrender after many years because her current person was moving out of the country and surrendered all her animals. When you she came back we decided, since she was starting a new life (again) she needed a new name and so her new name became Carla. If you have a lot of love and patience to give this girl please submit an online adoption application at our website www.littleorphans.org Give our Adoption Team a little time to process all the info. They will communicate with you thru email, so watch your inbox and spam folder for messages. We can set up a time for you to come in and meet Carla or any of our other friends in the building. The adoption fee includes spay and UTD vaccinations, and registered microchip.

Adopt Carla and Receive Carla's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Carla's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Carla's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Carla, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Carla's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Carla was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Carla’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Carla’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Carla’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
