Grommet came in a trap with another kitten, Wallace. Starving and cold, they both went into a foster home to be provided some much needed TLC! Fast forward a few years....He has become gorgeous long-haired boy who takes very good care of those luxurious locks. Grommet is exceptionally shy, which is the main reason he has been with us since he was a kitten. He does allow us to pet him, but only when Salem is there, and although we know he likes it, he has never actually admitted it! Grommet does love other cats, Salem and Dakota in particular, but he is kind to everyone. He is good at hide and seek, as he tries to become invisible when new people enter the shelter. You will have to "seek: him out if you want to meet him. Please make the effort as this big, beautiful guy is worth it, he just needs someone with a little extra patience and love to help him move forward. ***If you are looking for the perfect pair please consider adopting Salem as well. Both cats would be so happy to remain together as they spend most of their time at the shelter that way. They comfort and love each! For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Grommet (Bonded with Salem) was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Grommet (Bonded with Salem)’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Grommet (Bonded with Salem)’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Grommet (Bonded with Salem)’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
