About this Dog
Updated 7/21/25 Dog Name: Millie Sex: Female She's already been spayed. Estimated Breed Mix: Hound/Husky Approximate Age: 8 years Approximate Weight: 60 lbs Description: Millie is 8 years old, but still has plenty of energy. She'd love a family that will take her for regular walks and maybe even hikes or camping! She also enjoys sniffing around the fenced in yard. Millie is happiest when she is outside! Millie is independent and likes her personal space—she was very stressed out by young kids in her prior home. She would love a family with older kids who will respect her. Same with animal friends. Millie enjoys the company of doggie friends who respect her boundaries. She met a Chihuahua who also is independent, and they did great together, doing their own thing. If other dogs bark at her on a walk, she'll engage, but if they show no interest in her, she matches the vibe. Millie also loves riding in the car with the windows down! That fresh air really makes her smile! Millie is very food motivated, so she would be easy to train. Not that you need to! She knows sit, stay, leave it, come, and off. She is fully potty trained, and doesn't need to be put in her crate at night or when you leave the house! She's happy to play with toys if she has extra energy, and starts crashing for the night by 8pm. She's a very respectful sleeper, staying on her side of the bed. When she's really excited, she might let you know by barking and howling, so she also needs somewhere that noise won't be an issue. Millie is super gentle when taking treats, and is the sweetest girl. She'd make a great companion for a small, active family! Could it be yours? Adoption Fee: $350

Adopt Millie and Receive Millie's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Millie's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Millie's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Millie, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Millie's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Millie was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Millie’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Millie’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Millie’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
