Charlie Species: Goffin's Cockatoo Age: 40 Sex: Assumed Male Meet Charlie. Charlie is an approximately 40 year old assumed male Goffin's Cockatoo. Charlie LOVES to be the center of attention and will demand it to be so. Charlie seems to prefer women over men, but since being here, we've seen him allow plenty of love from men. Charlie has not had much experience around young children. Charlie would likely not do well in a home with dogs as he has attacked dogs in the past. Charlie is a cuddle bird and will take all the scritches you can offer. Charlie will make a great companion for someone who is willing to devote a LOT of time to him and work with him to overcome his extreme need to be the center of attention. To meet Charlie, a complete questionnaire is required. All cockatoos require a house without children under 12 present. Multiple visits are required - please expect to make at least 5 trips to work with your bird prior to bringing them home. All cockatoo adopters must have large bird ownership experience. (Cockatoo, macaw, grey, eclectus, amazon, etc.). Birds are only available for adoption to those who live within 2 hours of Edgerton, WI

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Charlie was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Charlie’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Charlie’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Charlie’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
