About this Dog
No dog is perfect and Dusty excels at it. ?Kidding aside, like many others with this same address, Dusty came from a situation that didn't need a dog in the center of it. Rough at the edges and a true mischief maker, this handsome dog won me over regardless. Dave and I were walking him together while the girls had another. When I went back to the car to grab something, he whimpered the whole time until I returned to resume our walk. It says something to me that in the short time I spent in his stall beforehand, that he looked at me as a comfort factor. Truth is, he is looking to embrace any kindness shown to him. Dusty needs to work on leash training. He may never have been on one. He's young enough to learn all he needs to be able to fit in with an active person or family who has time to teach him manners. Dusty appears to be a mixed breed. Basenji, heeler, pit possibly. He is very active, but stall life does that to some dogs. I love him and think part of the allure, aside from his unique appearance is that he seems to want you to stay, perhaps so he can learn how to be the perfect dog. Please call the shelter for any questions you may have, to schedule a meet and greet, or for details about their adoption process. Adopt Dusty and Receive Dusty's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Dusty's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Dusty's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Dusty, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Dusty's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Dusty was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Dusty’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Dusty’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Dusty’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
