About this Dog
Meet Squirtle:50 Pounds of Mayhem in a Fur Coat Ever wanted to adopt a frat boy trapped in a dog’s body? No? Well, too bad—Squirtle’s here, and he brought the party whether you RSVP’d or not. This 1-year-old bully mix is part dog, part toddler with zero boundaries, and part aspiring crime boss. He’s rowdy. He’s loud. He’s got opinions—mostly about how sharing is a scam and how your socks now belong to him. Social skills? Let’s call them “selective.” If another dog even thinks about getting attention while he’s in the room, Squirtle enforces his own rules of engagement. (Hunter and Sandy, his foster siblings, have filed formal complaints.) After awhile, he comes around! Also… he once un-alived a dove. So unless your chickens are made of Kevlar, this ain’t your next farmhand. But don’t let the chaos fool you—Squirtle is smart. Like, “learns commands in three minutes” smart. He knows sit, down, crate, and is working on wait. “Leave it” came one murder too late, but hey—we’re learning. He wants structure. He needs structure. And if you don’t provide it? He’ll be running your household by Tuesday. When he’s not testing your leadership or turning toilet paper into confetti, Squirtle enjoys pretending to be tough—right up until you call his bluff and he hits you with the “Who, me?” eyes. He’s all bark, a little bite, and a whole lot of mischief. ✅ Crate trained ✅ Thrives on routine No kids (trust us) No chickens Selective with dogs Experts only Squirtle is not for the faint of heart. But if you’re dog-savvy, unshakable, and have a sense of humor bordering on masochistic… you just might fall in love with this chaotic little legend. Because underneath all that wild energy? Is a loyal, hilarious, endlessly entertaining gremlin.

Please begin the process of claiming Squirtle (1yo, 40lbs)'s contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Squirtle (1yo, 40lbs) was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Squirtle (1yo, 40lbs)’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Squirtle (1yo, 40lbs)’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Squirtle (1yo, 40lbs)’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
