About this Dog
Animal Profile: Sherbert is an estimated 6-month-old male approximately 30lb shepherd mix puppy who has spent the last five weeks along with his littermates in a crowded shelter; one was adopted but four remained languishing for weeks and so they're joining us in Seattle. They have been spared euthanasia for space due to their sweet and social nature and they are friendly with all dogs and people. We will share more information as we get to know them in foster care. Foster Update: Sherbet is a sweet, friendly boy who makes friends with everyone he has met. He has a lot of puppy energy and loves playing with all of the toys! He is pretty good at entertaining himself but, as with most puppies, if left on his own he will find mischief. He loves being outside and would enjoy a yard to hang out in. His big ears tune into everything happening around him. He throws a tantrum when put in his crate but settles quickly. He will need a family who will give him plenty of outlets for his energy. He can be exuberant when excited and may be best in a home with older kids. He would be fine with another dog in the home or alone. We will be looking for a home with a securely fenced yard, breed/ GS experience. Adoption Info: The adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations, flea/tick prevention, deworming, microchip and registration, heartworm test for dogs over 6 months, and recent vet exam. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization. Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: Sherbert and his littermates were taken into Moreno Valley animal shelter on April 9, 2025 and at risk for euthanasia due to overcrowded. They will be transported via WiggleButts arriving to DGS foster care on Sunday May 25. They will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.

Adopt Sherbert and Receive Sherbert's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Sherbert's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Sherbert's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Sherbert, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Sherbert's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Sherbert was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Sherbert’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Sherbert’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Sherbert’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
