Animal Profile: Meet Georgie! Georgie was found as a stray in a city park and rescued by our incredible rescue partner Saving Shelter Strays. He has spent the past few weeks in a loving TX foster home and is healthy and thriving. He's well socialized and eager to learn. They are ready for their bus ride to WA! Foster Update: Georgie is a sweet, smart, and incredibly lovable pup who’s ready to steal your heart. He’s full of playful energy during the day and loves to snuggle up with his person at night. This clever boy is crate trained and sleeps soundly through the night. He’s picking up basic commands quickly, especially when treats are involved (he’s very food motivated!). Georgie doesn't know what a stranger is—he adores every person and dog he encounters. He’s still working on mastering his house manners and basic training, so he’ll thrive with a family who can continue guiding him with patience and consistency. He’d be a great match for a home with another playful dog or as a solo pup in an active, attentive household. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Georgie was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Georgie’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Georgie’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Georgie’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
