About this Dog
Animal Profile: Huck is an approximately 6-7 month old 50 lb male, black lab/pittie mix joining us from San Bernardino in California on 6/23/25. Huck is a friendly boy with people and other dogs, and will need basic training. We will share more about Huck as we get to know him in foster care. Foster Update: So far we love everything about this sweet easy going boy! Huck seems to be a lovely mix of playful and snuggly. He has a few of the basics down and he wants to keep learning. Huck is good in the car and loves being with his people so he will be a great adventure dog. He sleeps soundly in his crate and walks nicely on a leash but will pull after squirrels and he has a curious sniffer! He did fantastic with two other large dogs in temporary foster care, too. We will update his profile as we get to know him better! Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, recent exam with a veterinarian, and microchip with lifetime registration. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue. Adopt Huck and Receive Huck's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Huck's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Huck's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Huck, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Huck's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Huck was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Huck’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Huck’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Huck’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
