Animal Profile: Beau is a handsome blue and white pittie mix who joined us from San Bernardino County, CA. He is estimated to be 9 months old and weighs just under 40 pounds. Kennel staff noted that he is initially shy and would need some help building his confidence, but he consistently seek out pets and attention. He tested well with all the other dogs he met and played with at the shelter. Beau is looking forward to finding a loving home here in the Pacific Northwest! Foster Update: Beau aka “Duke Silver” is such a handsome boy who loves to snuggle and play. His personality is a really nice mix of super chill and playful. He will happily play with the resident dog or his people, he LOVES to play tug-of-war with his foster sister but he is also super content playing with toys on his own. Beau is a bit timid at first when meeting new people and the big world is a bit loud but he warms up quickly is getting used to adventuring. He would love to have another playful dog in the house to help show him the ropes but with an active family, he would be fine as a solo dog too. Beau recently passed his cat test with flying colors and we think he would be just fine living with cats as well! We will provide more updates as we continue to learn more about this sweet boy. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Beau was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Beau’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Beau’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Beau’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
