About this Dog
Animal Profile: Smokey is a ~3 month old, female Lab/Husky X (guessing) puppy who joined us from Texas, along with her siblings, on 04/23/2025. Puppies and mom were taken from an overcrowded property by Animal Control and went into care with our rescue partner. Smokey is a happy, sweet pup, doing well in her foster home, friendly with dogs and kids. Foster Update: Meet Smokey – Your Next Adventure Buddy! Smokey is a sweet and spirited Lab/Husky mix who's eagerly waiting to find her forever home! Smokey is a high-energy pup who thrives on outdoor fun – whether it's splashing in the water, chasing after a ball, or sprinting full-speed through the yard. If you're an active family seeking a companion for hikes, jogs, or weekend adventures, Smokey is the perfect match. Smokey is incredibly smart and a quick learner, already potty trained and proficient in sitting on command. Always on the move, Smokey is an independent thinker who would shine even brighter with basic obedience training and would love a home that keeps her mind and body engaged. Smokey might even excel in an agility class! This playful pup gets along wonderfully with other dogs and would thrive with a canine playmate. Given their strong jumping ability and quick reflexes, a securely fenced yard is essential. Smokey will need at least an hour of exercise daily to stay happy and healthy. With a happy spirit, playful nature, and loving heart, Smokey is more than ready to find a family that will provide the active, love-filled life she deserves. Could that family be yours? We are looking for a singlr family home with a securely fenced yard, another canine companion, large breed/Husky experience preferred. Older considerate children will be considered, 12 years of age and up. Due to breed we are not considering apartments. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue. Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog is being transferred from Animal Advocacy & Rescue our partner in Del Rio Texas and arriving via Paws Up Rescue to the Seattle area. This dog will be fostered in the greater Seattle area and available for adoption once evaluated in foster care.

Adopt Smokey and Receive Smokey's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Smokey's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Smokey's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Smokey, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Smokey's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Smokey was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Smokey’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Smokey’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Smokey’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
