About this Dog
Animal Profile: Atwood is a quiet, thoughtful pup with a calm, easygoing nature. He takes his time getting to know new surroundings, but once he’s comfortable, he’ll gently come over and ask for affection. While he may seem a little reserved at first, Atwood really comes alive around other dogs. He’s done great in shelter playgroups, politely greeting others, initiating play with happy playbows, and even helping shy dogs come out of their shell. Atwood is: Mellow and well-behaved in his kennel Great on leash with no reactivity Friendly and affectionate with people Gentle with treats Not into toys, but loves yard time Shelter Doggy Day Out approved! Staff describe him as a “nice, mellow dog” who’s patient, easy to leash, and just enjoys being near his people. Atwood would do well in a calm home with or without another dog—he’s not high-energy, just a quiet buddy looking for his person. Atwood was at risk for euthanasia, and we put in the pull request the day he was scheduled to loose his life. This sweet soul deserves a chance at a happy life here in the PNW. We can’t wait to see him shine! Foster Update: Stay tuned for updates from foster family! Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, recent exam with a veterinarian, and microchip with lifetime registration. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue. Adopt Atwood and Receive Atwood's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Atwood's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Atwood's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Atwood, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Atwood's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Atwood was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Atwood’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Atwood’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Atwood’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
