About this Dog
Animal Profile: Nellie is an estimated 14-18 month old, 55 lb spayed female mixed breed (possibly border collie and shepherd) who was found as a stray in TX and taken in by our rescue partners. She is very social, friendly, playful with dogs, and good in the crate -- but loves to be with her humans. We will share more about her as we get to know her in foster care. Foster Update: Nellie is a lovely young dog who is a wee bit nervous and could use help building her confidence. She has not been tested with cats or kids and because she can be nervous we don't recommend either while she's working on building her confidence,She is friendly and playful with other dogs once she warms up to them after slow introductions -- it can take a few days and multiple playdates. We are working on teaching her the Place and Out commands to curb resource guarding, as well as other exercises to build her confidence and calmness-- she is not aggressive with other dogs but does bark warnings to stay away from "her stuff".She loves, loves, loves being outside and is good on leash with very little pulling. Nellie is great in a car and ready for adventure-- she will be a great hiking/running buddy! She is a hard chewer, so will need harder toys. She has a cute little habit of stealing socks and hiding them in her crate-- she doesn't destroy them, she just likes to collect them. :) Inside the house she is low energy, but is always easy for a hike or bike ride or any other active adventure! Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations per AVMA standards, microchip, negative heartworm test if over 6 months, and health certificate. Your donation may be tax deductible as DG is a 501c3 organization. Adopt Nellie and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Nellie's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Nellie's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Nellie, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Nellie's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Nellie was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Nellie’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Nellie’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Nellie’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
